 Today Desmond and I went to Target and picked out a couple cool flashlights — he's got a thing for flashlights these days — and a couple Hotwheels. We have a new two-for-one Hotwheels college plan. For some stupid reason, ML and I were talking about toys we had when we were kids, and like everyone else, we were saying things like, "I wish I still had that…" So, for the hell of it, I went to eBay thinking maybe some of those old toys were still around and somehow available… and wouldn't you know it, I saw some old Hotwheels up for bidding. And it was shocking. There were some from about the time I was playing with Hotwheels… a couple that I faintly remember having. And they weren't in good shape, but people were bidding on them, and for hundreds of dollars, too. So ML had the idea that when I buy Hotwheels cars for Des, I should get two, and put one of them away for some day down the road. They might not ever be worth anything more than I paid for them, but Des' kids will have a head start on some toy cars if nothing else.
Hey, it beats stocks… You can't play with stocks.
