I'm trying this new old thing... keeping a list of stuff I gotta do. It's working, and it's not. Every time I get something done, I go into the immobilized mode of looking at the list and getting stuck between working on one thing or another, and the "hard" things just stay on the list from one day to the next. Those tasks get tenured.
In fact, the only reason I'm writing this right now is because it's on my List for today.
This is like restarting a lapsed fitness routine... I have to start with little bits here and there so I don't get burned out.
